Kylie MasseBack in the summer, CBC Sports was in LaSalle interviewing Olympic Medallist, Kylie Masse. "Road to the Olympic Games" will air on Saturday, December 15 on CBC. The show starts at noon and features Kylie. The segment will be available online after it airs on television. Kylie grew up in LaSalle, and has made her hometown proud breaking records and winning several medals, including the Olympic bronze medal in 2016 in backstroke swimming.

The Town of LaSalle’s administration is recommending a 0% Municipal Tax Rate increase in the 2019 Budget. The budget requires a $2.6M levy increase over the 2018 Municipal Budget, bringing the general levy to $34.3M. Those funds are being accounted for through the increase of $1.3M in new construction, and an additional $1.3M from phased in re-assessment on existing properties.

Pedestrian Bridge at Ojibway Oaks ParkThe pedestrian bridge between Ramblewood Dr. and Ojibway Oaks Park in LaSalle will be closed starting December 11. Maintenance on the bridge will replace the decking and rails. The bridge will be closed for about two months to complete this work. The bridge will be completely closed with no access allowed.
