As a result of the planned job action by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association, all Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board schools will be closed to students on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020. 
To help with childcare, the Culture and Recreation Department will be operating a day camp program at the Vollmer Complex for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years. Children can be dropped off as early as 7:30 am and picked up as late as 5:30 pm. Pre-registration...

If a tentative agreement has not been reached with the Ontario Secondary Schools Teachers' Federation by January 7, members of the union will participate in a legal, one day, full withdrawal of service on Wednesday, January 8. A tentative deal has been reached between Transit Windsor and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 616, which means all Transit Windsor bus service, including LaSalle Transit, will run as usual on Monday.
The Union had provided Transit with a 72 hour strike notice on Thursday, prompting Transit Windsor to inform riders that they may need to plan for alternate transportation on Monday.  That is no longer the case though, as a tentative agreement is in place.

Transit Windsor is informing riders that they should prepare alternate transportation arrangements ahead of this coming Monday, January 6, 2020 due to a potential strike.
