Playground at the Vollmer ComplexWith the reopening of Ontario's economy in Stage 3, the Town of LaSalle is in the process of making plans for a phased-in re-opening of municipal facilities. The Town will continue to follow the guidelines of the province and the local Medical Officer of Health. The safety of our employees and patrons is of utmost importance.

Mondays with the Mayor FlyerGiving members of the community an opportunity to meet with Mayor Marc Bondy, Mondays with the Mayor was held at the LaSalle Civic Centre once to twice a month in 2019, and at the beginning of this year. The sessions were put on hold due to COVID-19 in March. 
Mondays with the Mayor are returning the old fashioned way, by phone, in August. To continue to reduce the amount of in-person meetings, Mayor Bondy will be taking phone calls from the community.

Map of Laurier ParkwayRepairs are being made to Laurier Parkway, from Malden Rd. to Disputed Rd. in LaSalle, beginning on August 4. Sections of Laurier Parkway will be closed temporarily for lane repairs. There will be flaggers out to direct traffic. The repairs are expected to last about a week. Please drive with caution. Routine monitoring for West Nile Virus (WNV) has identified two positive mosquito pools in Windsor-Essex County (WEC). This is the first confirmed sign of WNV in Windsor and Essex County this year.
Certain types of mosquitoes spread WNV, a potentially serious infection to humans. So far in 2020, no human cases of WNV have been identified in WEC. However, these positive mosquito pools are an indicator that the virus continues to exist in our community.

Splash pad at the Vollmer ComplexThe splash pad at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex in LaSalle will be open daily beginning on Friday, July 31. The splash pad is open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and will be unsupervised. Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times. Please be kind and share the space with others. Limit your time to 15 minutes of splash pad play when others are waiting.
