Play For A Cure AnnouncementOn October 9, Play For a Cure announced that the NET total raised for cancer research from their inaugural event was $284,936.33.
Jeff Casey, a cancer survivor and the event director, talked about the tremendous support received from the community that allowed ‘a bunch of hockey players’ to raise this money. “That is an awesome amount and it tells me that our community cares about cancer research, “ he says.
