LaSalle Strawberry Festival

The LaSalle Strawberry Festival takes place from Thursday, June 7 to Sunday, June 10 at Gil Maure Park (Front Road at Laurier Drive) featuring a carnival, fireworks over the Detroit River, parade, entertainment and local strawberries.


Admission is $5 per person at the gate (children under 6 and seniors over 65 are free), or weekend passes are $12 per person. Weekend passes are available at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex until Wednesday, June 6.

New! Ride Your Bike!

Bike Friendly Windsor-Essex will be hosting a free bicycle valet service. They will be located near the front gates. Bag check is available for $2/bag.


Festival parking is FREE in designated spots only. Accessible parking is located along Laurier Drive adjacent to the LaSalle Outdoor Pool. Parking attendants will be onsite. Parking is limited. First come first served.


Animals are not allowed at the festival. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.


All persons and bags entering the festival will be subject to security inspection. Approved bags cannot exceed 14" x 14" x 6". Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted. Bag check is available at the bicycle valet location for $2/bag. 

Front Road Temporarily Closed

Front Road will be temporarily closed on Saturday, June 9 for the Strawberry Festival parade. The road will be closed between Morton Drive and Victory St. from 9:00 am to approximately noon.

LaSalle Transit 25 Route Changes

LaSalle Transit 25 Route will be redirected for the parade. Bus stops located on Front Rd., International Ave. and Michigan Ave. are closed between 9:00 am and noon on Saturday, June 9. The route will be shortened as the bus travels from Matchette Rd., down Reaume Rd. to Michigan Ave. to Laurier Dr. The route will resume normal operation, with all bus stops open, following the parade.
