Third Party Information

What is a registered third party?

  • A registered third party can be an individual who resides in Ontario, a Corporation that carries on business in Ontario, or a trade union that holds bargaining rights for employees in Ontario.
  • You must be a registered third party in order to incur expenses for a third party advertisement that appears during the restricted period.
  • If you want to advertise in more than one municipality, you must register as a third party in each municipality.
  • Registration allows a third party advertiser to promote or oppose any candidate that the electors in the municipality can vote for.
