LaSalle Council Meeting - July 11, 2023

The regular meeting of LaSalle Council scheduled on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 has been cancelled. Council will hold its next regular meeting on July 25, 2023. LaSalle Council meeting agendas and minutes are available on the Town of LaSalle Council Calendar web page.

Heat Warning - July 4 and 5, 2023

Note: Heat warning has been extended to July 6, 2023.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning on July 4 and July 5, 2023. A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31°C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 21°C or a humidex greater than 42°C.

LaSalle Fire Service Issues Open Air Fire Ban, June 28, 2023

UPDATE June 30, 2023: The LaSalle Fire Service has lifted the open air fire ban. Residents are reminded to refer to the Recreational Quick Reference Guide before burning. Call 519-966-0744 if you have any questions. 

The LaSalle Fire Service has declared an open air fire ban effective immediately due to forest fire smoke causing poor air quality.

Vollmer Centre Closed for Staff Training, June 29, 2023

The Vollmer Centre will be closed to patrons and all programs are cancelled on Thursday, June 29, but staff do not have the day off! All staff at the Vollmer Centre will take part in an annual training session to review emergency procedures and protocols.  Training is an important part of staff orientation for new employees and gives seasoned staff a chance to review and give feedback on department procedures.
