Based on information from Environment Canada, Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit’s Acting Medical Officer of Health, has issued an Extended Heat Warning beginning June 28, 2018. The Extended Heat Warning will be in effect until further notice.

On Thursday, June 28, the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex aquatic centre will close at 4:30 pm for staff aquatic training. Evening aqua fitness and lengths are cancelled.
On Friday, June 29, the Vollmer Complex (entire building) will be closed. All programs, activities and services are cancelled on Friday. Staff will be taking part in mock emergency training. LaSalle Police Service and LaSalle Fire Service are involved in a planned scenario, which will involve staff of the complex.
