At the December 13, 2016 LaSalle Council meeting, Council approved the 2017 Municipal Budget with a 0.00% Municipal Tax Rate increase.
Town of LaSalle administration originally recommended that Council approve a 0.46% Municipal Tax Rate increase in the 2017 budget. Council members discussed the budget at sessions held on December 7 and 8, and deferred the budget back to administration to reduce the Municipal Tax Rate increase to 0.00%. Dillon Consulting Limited has been retained to amend the existing Bouffard and Howard Class EA Reports and prepare plans to allow for the development of the Bouffard and Howard Planning Area, in the Town of LaSalle. The Town of LaSalle has studied the feasibility to developing this area for several years and has invested in infrastructure in the area, including constructing Laurier Parkway.
