LaSalle Recognizes Outstanding Volunteers

Each year, the Town of LaSalle recognizes volunteers for their hard work and dedication. The community is encouraged to submit nomination forms to recognize specific members of the community who go above and beyond. Council members review the nominations and choose a volunteer who stands out in each category. The award recipients are acknowledged at a celebration at the LaSalle Civic Centre on Friday, September 25.

Back to School Road Safety Reminders

As students and staff head back to school, here are some things to remember when travelling through LaSalle:

Disputed Road at 4th Concession Drain Project Extended
Completion of the work on the Disputed Road culvert at the 4th Concession drain is delayed. The intended completion date was Labour Day. It is expected to take another two weeks. School bus companies have advised affected residents of route changes. The road remains closed. Please follow posted detours.

The Corporation of the Town of LaSalle hereby gives notice that sealed unit price Bids will be received for the reconstruction of Todd Lane from Canada Street to Tenth Street including storm sewer, water mains, curbs and gutters, and asphalt road surface.

Sealed Bids will be received until 12:00p.m. (noon) local time on Thursday, September 17, 2015.

The Town of LaSalle is updating the Municipal Official Plan. An Official Plan sets goals and policies, and guides how the town will grow and evolve over the next 10 to 20 years. An official plan looks at things like:

• where new housing, offices and shops will be located;
• what services like roads, watermains, sewers, parks and schools will be needed;
• when parts of our community will grow;
