Working smoke alarms give you the precious time you need to escape a fire and the LaSalle Fire Service wants you and your family to be protected. By law, every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm on every storey and outside all sleeping areas. Test your smoke alarms once per month by pressing the test button to be sure the alarm is working. Replace batteries or alarms that do not work properly.

Fire Chief Thiessen is calling on all residents of LaSalle to test their smoke alarms on Saturday, September 28, 2024, as part of Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with working smoke alarms – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.

LaSalle Transit is offering a free shuttle service between the Vollmer Complex and the Event Centre during Last Call Before Fall. Join in the fun and savour the flavour of what our region has to offer on Friday, September 6, and/or Saturday, September 7.
