Hydrant Maintenance - Areas 18 and 19

The annual hydrant maintenance program will take place over the next couple of weeks in LaSalle in the following areas:

• Area 18: Detroit River to Malden Road, Gary Avenue to Victory Street.
• Area 19: Detroit River to Matchett Road, Victory Street to Martin Lane.

The Town of LaSalle will host the September 10, 2024, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.

Test Your Smoke Alarm Giveaway

Working smoke alarms give you the precious time you need to escape a fire and the LaSalle Fire Service wants you and your family to be protected. By law, every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm on every storey and outside all sleeping areas. Test your smoke alarms once per month by pressing the test button to be sure the alarm is working. Replace batteries or alarms that do not work properly.

Fire Chief Thiessen is calling on all residents of LaSalle to test their smoke alarms on Saturday, September 28, 2024, as part of Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with working smoke alarms – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.

The Town of LaSalle is joining communities across Ontario on September 28 by asking everyone to take a minute to ensure that there are working smoke alarms installed in their home.

Free Shuttle to Last Call Before Fall

LaSalle Transit is offering a free shuttle service between the Vollmer Complex and the Event Centre during Last Call Before Fall. Join in the fun and savour the flavour of what our region has to offer on Friday, September 6, and/or Saturday, September 7. 

Shuttle times begin at 7:20 pm on Friday, September 6, and at 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, at the bus stop in front of the Vollmer Centre. The last bus leaves the Event Centre at 12:00 am on both nights. View the Last Call Before Fall...
