Hello residents of LaSalle,
It has been quite a busy month in the Town of LaSalle. Just last week Members of Council attended the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference in Ottawa.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning from August 26 to 27, 2024. A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31°C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 21°C or a humidex greater than 42°C.

Due to forecasted potential for storms later today, the location of the Sunday, August 25, 2024 LaSalle Night Market has been moved to the Event Centre at 970 Front Road. This location allows for the market to be held indoors.
Parking is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. Additional parking is available along Laurier Drive, west of Front Rd. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre before parking.

A planned service disruption to the Internet and telephone system is scheduled to take place beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday, August 18. The LaSalle Civic Centre, Vollmer Centre, LaSalle Fire Service, and Public Works will be impacted.
