Hello residents of LaSalle,

I was honoured to present long service awards to three members of the LaSalle Fire Service at this week’s Council meeting. Fire Chief Ed Thiessen and Firefighter Rick Malott were presented with a Fire Service Exemplary Service medal in celebration of 20 years of service. Firefighter Randy Curtis was presented with a Fire Service Long Service Bar in recognition of 30 years of service.  Thank you for your dedication and service.

Heat Warning - July 26 to July 28, 2023

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning from July 26 to July 28, 2023. A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31°C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 21°C or a humidex greater than 42°C.  

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit reminds us that the risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and people working or exercising outdoors. Drink...

Hydrant Maintenance Program 2023

The annual hydrant maintenance program starts today. As crews move into a new area, we will share the locations where the work is taking place. Over the next couple of weeks, hydrant maintenance will occur in the following area:

  • Howard Avenue, Sixth Concession Road, Caboto Drive, and Huron Church Line Road from Sixth Concession Road toNorth Townline Road.

Customers in these areas may experience a reduction in pressure and/or discolored water conditions. If water discoloration occurs, residents should run their

The Town will provide a one-time-only roadside collection of small to medium downed branches from the recent storm, from private property throughout the municipality, beginning on Monday, July 24, 2023. To reach all areas of the Town of LaSalle, clean up may take several days.    

Residents are asked to bring the branches to the curb or edge of the road without blocking the road, driveway, or sidewalk. Anything on private property, from privately owned trees, with limbs that are too large to bring...

Outdoor Pool Temporary Closure

UPDATE July 21 at 8:45 am: The LaSalle Outdoor Pool will reopen today at 10:30 am. 

 June 20, 2023: Effective immediately, the LaSalle Outdoor Pool located on Front Road at Laurier Drive is closed for unscheduled maintenance. We will provide an update as soon as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience.
