ice on trees

UPDATE March 3, 2023: Crews have completed the Laurier North and South areas and will begin the Todd Route on Monday. Continue to keep branches at the road. Once crews have completed a street, they will not be returning to make another pickup.

UPDATE February 28, 2023: Crews are currently working in the Laurier North area and expect to be in the Laurier South area by Thursday. Continue to keep branches at the road. We thank you for your patience as we work through all areas of town.

February 24, 2023: The Town will provide a one-time-only roadside collection of small to medium downed branches from the ice storm, from private property throughout the municipality, beginning on Monday, February 27, 2023. To reach all areas of the Town of LaSalle, clean up may take several days.

Residents are asked to bring the branches to the curb or edge of the road without blocking the road, driveway, or sidewalk. Anything on private property, from privately owned trees, with limbs that are too large to bring to the curb, will be the responsibility of the resident to have removed from their property.

Town staff will be using a chipper to shred the branches, so no yard waste bags will be collected. Branches do not need to be bundled. Our crew will do their best to clean as much as possible, but some raking may be necessary after pick-up. We have divided the Town into five areas for the clean-up; visit our website to see the map. We will begin on Monday with the Laurier North area and will move in the following order: Laurier North, Laurier South, Todd, Heritage and County.

Due to the amount of clean-up, we are unsure how long we will be in each area. We will continue to post updates on the Town’s website and social media pages as we move into each area. We appreciate your patience as we clean-up after the ice storm.
