Hello residents of LaSalle,
We lost a former member of the LaSalle Fire Service this past week. Firefighter Bob Price passed away after a prolonged illness. He served the community of LaSalle as a Volunteer (Part-time) Firefighter from 1997-2008. On behalf of Council and administration, we send our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and the LaSalle Fire Service.
A funeral followed by an escorted cortege/parade took place yesterday, which included a stop at LaSalle Fire Service for a final dispatch call. It was a touching ceremony and a beautiful send off for Bob from the community he loved and was proud to protect.
The LaSalle Truck or Treat event takes place a the Vollmer Complex this Saturday, October 26. Come out and get some candy, check out the cool trucks, and don’t forget to wear your Halloween Costumes! The event takes place from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, admission is $3.00 per child.

The proposed HBSP is a roadmap for how the Howard Bouffard area will grow in the future. Public consultation is essential and the Planning and Development Department is looking forward to hearing feedback from the community.
The public can register to attend a meeting, speak at a meeting, and submit written comments to be included in the Council Agenda. Visit the Howard Bouffard Secondary Plan for full details and to find out more on how to participate.
I will be available this coming Monday, October 28 at the LaSalle Civic Centre from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come in for a visit to share your ideas or ask questions. If you are not available on Monday, please reach out. I am happy to make an appointment for a different date and time.
