Welcome to LaSalle

We welcome you to LaSalle, Ontario. LaSalle is located along the Heritage Detroit River, and is home to 30,000 persons. LaSalle was discovered in the mid 1700's by French settlers who established roots in this area. LaSalle is named after the famed French explorer Rene-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de la salle.

LaSalle is a healthy, vibrant and caring community! From shopping to dining to being active, there are many opportunities for you to Explore LaSalle.

In October 2014, LaSalle opened a newly constructed Civic Centre. The state-of-the-art building is home to the Town of LaSalle Administration Offices, Council Chambers, LaSalle branch of the Essex County Library and LaSalle Friendship Seniors Centre. A two-storey living wall in the middle of the building is a must-see!

Step outside at the LaSalle Civic Centre and you will find a soothing water feature and sidewalks around a passive park and Cenotaph Park. Cenotaph Park honours Canada's Armed Forces who have been at war or conflict and have been engaged in peace keeping missions. The LaSalle Civic Centre hosts outdoor movies, outdoor concerts, and night markets. Fun for all ages!
