Dog Licence

All dogs are required under the Town of LaSalle By-law 8705 to be licenced. Benefits include:

• If your dog gets lost or stolen, a license assists in a fast and safe return;
• If your dog is running at large, is caught, and brought to a shelter, your dog can be safely returned to you rather than euthanized or re-adopted;
• During an emergency, we provide a list of licensed dogs to rescue and relief agencies;
• If a licensed dog bites or attacks a person, we have opportunity to identify the address and involve police, if needed.

Purchasing a Pet Licence

Payment options include: 

• New! Online payment through the Pet Licence Portal
• Make an appointment to purchase your dog licence in person by calling our Receptionist at 519-969-7770 ext. 1221
• Leave your payment in our drop-box located outside of the Town Hall Civic Centre building
• Mail us your renewal notice along with your payment. If you are registering a dog for the first time, please complete a Dog Licence Application Form and mail the completed form along with a cheque to the Town of LaSalle Civic Centre, located at 5950 Malden Road.

Online Pet Licence Portal

Note: If you are registering a new dog, please call the Receptionist for further information. 

You can renew your dog licence online through the Pet Licence Portal. If you already have an online account, you can login to your account to purchase your pet licence. If you do not have an online account, please click on the Register button to sign-up for an account.

You will be required to enter your Pet Licence Account Number and Access Code/PIN which can be found on your Pet Licence Renewal Notice. If are registering a new pet, or if you do not have your Account Number or Access Code/PIN, please contact us for assistance at 519-969-7770 ext. 1221.

There is a credit card processing fee of 1.75 % for all payments made online. Once you complete your online payment, we will mail your dog tag(s) to your listed address.

Dog Licence Rates

Dog Licence rates include taxes. If you no longer own a dog, please contact our Receptionist during regular working hours at 519-969-7770 ext. 1221 so that our records may be updated.
