Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex 

Patrons visiting any facility are encouraged to conduct a COVID-19 self-assessment before entering any municipal building. Those who are experiencing symptoms are asked not to visit the facility until their symptoms have subsided. The safety of our employees and patrons is important.

Following the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, masks are no longer mandatory at the LaSalle Civic Centre or at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.  Although wearing a mask is no longer mandated, the Town recognizes that some patrons may feel more comfortable wearing a mask in public settings and they are welcome to do so. While COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted, it may take some time for everyone to adjust. Please be kind and respectful to one another.  

For swimming lessons in the spring session (beginning on April 11, 2022), parents will no longer be required to enter the water with their children in Preschool 1-5 or Swimmer 1 and 2 classes. 

All regular ice rentals are taking place. Please refer to the guidelines provided by the organization hosting the rental for return to play information.

The fitness centre is open and virtual fitness classes will continue. Members who do not wish to resume their membership must request a hold by calling the fitness centre at 519-969-7771 ext. 4116. Visit our fitness web page for more information.

Drop-in activities are available on a first come, first served basis. We encourage pre-registration for all drop-in activities. Check our website for schedules. Participants must scan their membership card or complete their single use transaction at the Vollmer Complex front desk. 

Please keep a 2-metre distance from staff and others, and stand behind the shields when speaking with employees at the customer service counters. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will be asked to leave and contact the Town by phone, email or through the customer service portal.

The highly transmissible variant is impacting a number of workplaces, including the Town of LaSalle. As a number of staff may be off due to COVID-19 isolation guidelines, this may result in a delay in service. Updates will be provided on the Town website and social media pages.
