In keeping with the provincial mandate for all municipalities to develop a Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWB), the City of Windsor and County of Essex are launching a community survey and are holding virtual public Zoom meetings in February and March 2021 for the regional community safety and well-being plan.
The goal of the plan is to create a community where everyone feels safe; has a sense of belonging, has access to services and opportunities; and can have their needs met across Windsor and the County of Essex.
The goal of these consultations is to hear from local residents from LaSalle to understand our community safety and well-being priorities and concerns. Engaging a diverse range of voices will be critical to developing a plan that aligns with the best interests of all residents and reflects the unique needs of each of the eight municipalities.
The community survey is available in English, French, Spanish, or Arabic. Submissions are due by Monday, March 15, 2021.
Residents are also encouraged to attend one of the virtual public meetings being held across the region. Meetings will take place over Zoom. Windsor-Essex will be hosting a virtual public meeting for residents of LaSalle on Tuesday, March 2 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Registration is limited, so be sure to register well in advance.
