About the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex

Welcome to the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex. The Vollmer Complex is a place for the people of LaSalle to gather for sports, exercise, meetings and fun. Our address is 2121 Laurier Drive, LaSalle, Ontario, N9J 0B4. For more information about us, take a look at our Activity Guide.

Front Desk Hours
Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Vollmer Complex was built in 2008. It is named after the Vollmer family who live in LaSalle. Joan and John Vollmer and Darlene and Brad Vollmer believe in our community, and wanted to help build a place to hold activities for people of all ages.

There are 189 acres of land at the Vollmer Complex. Outside you will find:

• 28 soccer fields
• 6 softball diamonds
• 2 hardball diamonds
• many trails and hills for group runs/walks
• a large picnic pavilion that seats 200
• a small picnic pavilion that seats 50
• an outdoor amphitheatre
• outdoor concession facilities
• a skateboard park
• parking for 1,000 cars/trucks

The Vollmer Centre is 120,000 square feet in size. Inside the building, you will find:

• 2 NHL size arenas; one with seating for 1,000 people, the other with seating for 200 people
• 12 dressing rooms
• fully accessible washrooms
• a swimming pool, a waterslide, a sauna and a hot tub
• a fitness centre with award winning exercise equipment
• meeting and activity rooms
• indoor concession and eating area

The Culture and Recreation Department offers programs such as:

• exercise classes
• swimming lessons
• lane swimming and water walking
• preschool classes

• senior classes
• day camps
• holiday and special events

We have hosted many events such as:

• arts and crafts shows
• vendor shows
