LaSalle Strategic Plan Update 2024-2025 

LaSalle is growing – it’s time for an update to the Strategic Plan

Given the continued and expected growth of the Town of LaSalle, we will be updating our Strategic Plan over the next few months with plans to present to council in March 2025. 

We want to hear from you!

As part of the process to update the Strategic Plan, we will be connecting with businesses, community organizations, and residents to gather input on the Town’s priorities for the future and progress achieved so far.

There will be various opportunities to provide input and share your ideas, including:

  • Community events where Town administration and project consultants will be available to discuss the plan, gather ideas and answer your questions.
  • A planned community survey in the winter.
  • Our Town’s engagement platform, PlaceSpeak
  • Our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn.
  • Sharing feedback directly with the Town.

About LaSalle 2050 – Our Strategic Plan

In April 2019, LaSalle Council engaged StrategyCorp, a Toronto-based public affairs firm, to lead the process to develop a new Strategic Plan. This plan determined the future direction for LaSalle into the year 2050.

We will be hosting additional opportunities for the community to provide input on the draft strategic framework through a community survey in the new year. This will be a chance to share feedback on the draft strategic framework and respond to some questions about your experiences living in LaSalle. Stay tuned for further details.  

Strategic Plan Updates

The review and update of LaSalle’s current Strategic Plan, LaSalle 2050, is well underway. To-date, we have hosted a series of engagement activities for community members, Town staff, Council, and members of the Senior Leadership Team to participate in the process and help shape the Town’s future. The following activities have been completed to-date:

  • Three community pop-up events throughout the month of November, where we spoke to over 200 residents about the Strategic Plan
  • One staff survey
  • Focus groups with local businesses and community groups
  • Interviews with Council and members of the Senior Leadership Team

 What is a Strategic Plan? 
A Strategic Plan is a roadmap for municipalities and other organizations to define their vision for the future and a strategy for achieving its goals. 
 How will my input be used in the Strategic Planning process? 
The feedback received during the consultation period will be used by the Town to support the development of the next version of the Strategic Plan.  
 How long will the Strategic Planning process take? 
We anticipate the updated Strategic Plan will be finalized by Spring 2025.
