Animal Superpowers
Made with LEGO® Bricks

Sean Kenney's Animal Super Powers Made with LEGO® Bricks, an exhibition featuring awe-inspiring sculptures made from LEGO bricks, has arrived at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing (970 Front Road). Sean Kenney, Animal Super Powers showcases larger-than-life sculptures of creatures who have evolved to possess their very own “super powers” and invites guests to learn the science behind them.

Produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., Animal Super Powers is chock-full of STEAM content and will inspire budding artists, engineers, zoologists, and biologists to expand their imaginations, get curious and explore in an experience that both educates and excites. The exhibit includes 26 animal sculptures, interactive activities, exciting entertainment, a snack stand, and merch store. Come to view the awe-inspiring sculptures, and stick around for the fun!

Exhibit Pieces

This exhibition is divided in six sections that showcase superpowers in the animal kingdom. Here is what you will discover:

  • Physical Feats: These animals have extreme versions of human abilities. Humans might be able to accomplish impressive things, but it’s nothing compared to what these animals can do!
  • Super Eaters: These animals have amazing adaptations to help them find, consume, and digest their food. From adaptations that help them eat to unique ways of catching their prey, this group stands out for their super eating abilities!
  • Escape Artists: use a range of superpowers to avoid predators. They use their abilities to defend themselves, surprise predators, and exit dangerous situations!
  • Colour: The animal world is full of Color! These animals use color to hide, thrive, or advertise.
  • Super Senses: These animals experience the world in ways that humans can’t. Some have extreme versions of senses that humans have, such as sight or hearing, and others have completely unique senses that we will never have!
  • Extreme Environments: These animals have special traits that allow them to survive in some of the harshest environments on earth!
Interactive Zone sponsored by St. Clair College and St. Clair College Alumni Association

In this area, visitors can design and build creations of their own with LEGO® bricks. Using the sculptures as inspiration, the Interactive Zone is an opportunity for visitors to show off their skills. Check out other activities in this zone such as measuring your height in LEGO bricks as well as photo opportunities. Children must be supervised at all times.

The LEGO Bricks, play tables and seating are sanitized frequently using Oxivir, which is a solution that consists of Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP). Oxivir® Disinfectant Cleaners provide an alternative to traditional disinfectants by delivering fast acting, broad spectrum disinfection with enhanced cleaning power that is staff and patient friendly while being gentle on most surfaces. The active ingredient, hydrogen peroxide, breaks down into environmentally-friendly water and oxygen just minutes after use.
