Sport Fields Status Update

During the outdoor sport field season, soccer field and baseball diamond status will be updated as follows:

  • Morning field use: by 7:30 am Monday through Friday
  • Afternoon field use: by 12:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Evening field use: by 3:00 pm Monday through Friday

Soccer fields and ball diamonds are open, based on the contracts with rental groups. Any field or diamond that is closed will be listed on this page. Field status will be communicated to user groups and the public through the Town of LaSalle website and social media accounts. 

As a reminder, during periods of changing, adverse weather conditions where surfaces remain open, team officials will be responsible for inspections to determine field safety and potential for damage. Vollmer Centre Cancellations and Changes

For the month of September: The Monday morning and Tuesday evening Zumba classes are cancelled. 

Tuesday, September 5 to Friday, September 29: The Vollmer Centre pool will be closed during the month of September to conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the pool, hot tub, and sauna. This yearly maintenance is essential to ensure effective operations of all pool features and components for the public to enjoy. The pool will re-open on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Holiday Closures

The Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex will be closed on the following holidays in 2023: 

  • New Year's Day  - January 1
  • Good Friday - April 7
  • Easter Sunday - April 9
  • Victoria Day - May 22
  • Canada Day - July 1
  • Civic Holiday - August 7
  • Labour Day - September 4
  • Thanksgiving Monday - October 9
  • Christmas Eve Day - December 24 (Facility closes at 12:00 pm)
  • Christmas Day - December 25
  • Boxing Day - December 26
  • New Year's Eve Day - December 31 (Facility closes at 3:00 pm)

Additionally, the following days have altered times and activities:

  • Family Day: No regular activities. Special swims/skates will be offered.
  • March Break: No regular activities. Camps, special swims and skates will be offered.
  • Halloween: No children's activities day or evening.
  • New Year's Eve: Special swims/skates will be offered.
