Sports Field Status

All outdoor sports fields are now closed for the season. 

During the outdoor sport field season, soccer field and ball diamond status will be updated as follows:

  • Morning field use: by 7:30 am Monday through Friday
  • Afternoon field use: by 12:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Evening field use: by 3:00 pm Monday through Friday

Soccer fields and ball diamonds are open, based on the contracts with rental groups. Any field or diamond that is closed will be listed on this page. Field status will be communicated to user groups and the public through the Town of LaSalle website and social media accounts. 

As a reminder, during periods of changing, adverse weather conditions where surfaces remain open, team officials will be responsible for inspections to determine field safety and potential for damage. Play should be stopped should conditions decline.

Holiday Closures

Every year, the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex will be closed on the following holidays: 

  • New Year's Day  - January 1
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Sunday
  • Victoria Day
  • Canada Day - July 1
  • Civic Holiday
  • Labour Day
  • Thanksgiving Monday
  • Christmas Eve Day (Facility closes at 12:00 pm) - December 24
  • Christmas Day - December 25
  • Boxing Day - December 26

Additionally, the following days have altered times and activities:

  • Family Day: No regular programs. Special swims/skates will be offered.
  • March Break: No regular programs. Camps, special swims and skates will be offered.
  • Easter Monday: No children's programs day or evening.
  • Halloween: No children's programs day or evening.
  • New Year's Eve: Special swims/skates will be offered.

When developing session schedules, the above dates are excluded from the price of programs.
