Message from Mayor Meloche - June 27, 2025

Hello residents of LaSalle, 

I want to take a moment to acknowledge a profound loss to our community. This past week, we lost a valued member of Team LaSalle, Jaxon Moore. Jaxon was a team leader in our Culture and Recreation department, and was known by his colleagues for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering positivity. He made a lasting impact on those he worked with, and will be deeply missed. On behalf of the Town of LaSalle, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Moore family, and all of Jaxon’s friends and coworkers.

The Loop Grand Opening

I’m pleased to share that we will be celebrating the first event at The Loop at LaSalle Landing, located at 970 Front Road.

This Saturday, June 28, is The Rotary Circle Grand Opening, starting at 4:00 pm, with the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm. We invite everyone to come out to this exciting family-friendly event, and take the chance to enjoy the new water jet interactive space and fun activities for all ages.

Stick around for the LaSalle Interact Club movie night inside the Event Centre, starting at 6:00 pm with games, entertainment, and a showing of the film Shrek, starting at dusk. Admission is $2, with free admission for those under 8 years old.

June LaSalle Night Market

The June LaSalle Night Market is taking place this coming Sunday, June 29. With over 80 vendors, food, and entertainment there will be something for everyone.

The markets are scheduled throughout the summer on the last Sunday of the month until September. LaSalle Night Markets

LaSalle Canada Day Celebration

We are very excited to host a Canada Day event in LaSalle this year. Join us on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, at The Loop and the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing, at 970 Front Road. This brand new event promises an evening filled with family-friendly fun, live entertainment, and delicious food. The highlight of the night will be a Canada-themed drone show, beginning at 10:00 pm. The show will be visible from across LaSalle Landing and the surrounding areas, offering a must-see stunning show.

We can’t wait to showcase The Loop at LaSalle Landing, the newest addition to the waterfront. The Loop
