LaSalle Gives Back: Firefighters' campaign boosts local charities for a second year

The LaSalle Firefighters Associations are thrilled with the success of LaSalle Gives Back for a second year in a row. This initiative, that began in 2024, supports the LaSalle community during the holiday season and beyond. The LaSalle Gives Back 2025 campaign raised a remarkable $72,834.39.
This annual initiative benefits local non-profits and youth assistance organizations, ensuring that funds raised are directed to those in LaSalle who depend on these vital services year-round. Yesterday, a cheque in the amount of $67,834.39 was donated to the St. Andrews Anglican Church – Community Food Bank, and $5,000 was donated to the LaSalle Hangout for Youth.
“We’re truly humbled by the incredible generosity and support from our community. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this fundraiser - your kindness is what makes a real difference to support these two incredible organizations. Together, we’ve shown what community truly means,” said Chris Carr, of the LaSalle Firefighters’ Association.
The LaSalle Gives Back campaign was created in 2024 to ensure donations collected in LaSalle remain in the community. From Thursday, November 13 to Saturday, November 15, 2025, LaSalle Firefighters and community volunteers took to the streets in LaSalle to distribute newsletters and accept monetary donations.
A big thank you to the compassionate community of LaSalle. The goal to provide continuous support to LaSalle residents who rely on assistance programs, not just during the holidays, but throughout the year, has been achieved again this year.
