The Town of LaSalle intends to destroy noxious weeds and/or weed seeds located on Town-owned properties throughout the 2026 growing season, in accordance with the Weed Control Act. If you own land within the County of Essex, you need to destroy these weeds or their seeds on your property by June 1, 2026, and continue maintenance throughout the growing season.
A report will be presented at the Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Regular Meeting of Council seeking approval of temporary road closures to allow relocation of the 2026 LaSalle Strawberry Festival parade. The parade is being relocated due to ongoing construction along Front Road. The parade will take place on Saturday, June 13, starting at 10:00 am, using Laurier Parkway and the surrounding roads near the Vollmer Complex.
The Town of LaSalle will host the Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.
The Town of LaSalle’s Public Works Department will be doing maintenance work on sanitary sewers along Victory Street, from Hinde Street to 880 Victory Street beginning on Tuesday, May 19.
