Message from Mayor Meloche - December 13, 2024

Hello residents of LaSalle,

On December 7, the Town of LaSalle hosted Breakfast with Santa and The Mayor. It was an exciting event with Santa and friends, Council, and almost 600 attendees. Thank you to our staff and participants for another successful holiday event.

Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Presentation

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) presented a certificate and plaque to LaSalle Fire Service in recognition of 35 years of partnership at the Regular Meeting of Council this past week.

Firefighter Randy Curtis was also presented with a 25-year service certificate, acknowledging his dedication to supporting training and boating education goals. Congratulations to Randy, LaSalle Fire Rescue, and the CCGA!

New! LaSalle Events Facebook Page

The Town of LaSalle has a new Facebook page called LaSalle Events. Follow this page to stay updated on events hosted by the Town of LaSalle as well as community events.

LaSalle New Year’s Eve Fireworks

The annual LaSalle New Year's Eve Fireworks show is scheduled at the Vollmer Recreation Complex. Fireworks begin at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, December 31, and will be launched behind the outdoor pavilion, near the splash pad. Remember to find a parking spot in one of the parking lots on-site by 7:15 pm before the show starts as parking on the road or shoulder will not be allowed.

Holiday Skate and Swim Schedule

Holiday Closures

The LaSalle Civic Centre will be closed from Tuesday, December 24 to Wednesday, January 1.

The Vollmer Centre will be closed on the following days and times:

• Tuesday, December 24 at 12:00 pm
• Wednesday, December 25
• Thursday, December 26
• Tuesday, December 31 at 3:00 pm
• Wednesday, January 1

Regular hours for the LaSalle Civic Centre and the Vollmer Centre will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
