Message from Mayor Meloche - July 26, 2024

Hello residents of LaSalle,

It was good to see and talk to residents at the LaSalle Turtle Club yesterday evening, the latest spot for Mayor on Location. This is a scheduled event in the community that allows me to talk face-to-face with residents during their day to day activities around Town. The first Mayor on Location took place at the Vollmer Centre in February. The next location will be scheduled in the near future. We will share the date and location. I hope to talk to many of you at the next event.

Kylie Masse, Olympics

We wish our very own Kylie Masse, four time Olympic medalists in competitive swimming, good luck as she represents Canada and her hometown of LaSalle at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Not only is she competing but was also one of four athletes named captain by Swimming Canada. Congratulations, Kylie, and good luck. We will be watching and cheering you on. The games begin today and Kylie's first race is scheduled for Monday, July 29.

July LaSalle Night Market

The July LaSalle Night Market is this Sunday, July 28 at the LaSalle Civic Centre. Visit to enjoy delicious food, shop the many vendor booths, and take in some live entertainment. Each market offers many of your favourites while also including new things to discover. The market is open from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. More information available at LaSalle Markets.

LaSalle Historical Timeline

In the summer of 2023, the Town launched a new interactive website with a historical timeline of LaSalle. The site captures the areas rich history of LaSalle dating back to the 1700’s. Free Swimming This Summer

The LaSalle Outdoor Pool is the place to be this summer. Cool off and have some fun with daily free recreational swimming from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, thanks to Essex Powerlines.
