2026 LaSalle Strawberry Festival Parade Relocation

A report will be presented at the Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Regular Meeting of Council seeking approval of temporary road closures to allow relocation of the 2026 LaSalle Strawberry Festival parade.

The parade is being relocated due to ongoing construction along Front Road. The parade will take place on Saturday, June 13, starting at 10:00 am, using Laurier Parkway and the surrounding roads near the Vollmer Complex. Temporary road closures will be in effect along Laurier Parkway at Malden Road and Disputed Road on June 13 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am to support safe and accessible parade operations.

“The relocation of the parade reflects the Town’s commitment to adapting to construction impacts while continuing to deliver our community events,” says Patti Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation.

Advance notice of all closures will be shared, and clearly marked detour routes, will be in place to help minimize traffic disruptions.

In addition to parade-related closures, Mike Raymond Drive will be closed from Diotte Drive easterly to the west side of the Vollmer bus loop from Monday, June 8 to Sunday, June 14. This closure supports overall festival operations, including pedestrian safety and connectivity between parking areas within the Vollmer Complex.

The LaSalle Strawberry Festival will take place from June 11 to 14, 2026, featuring live entertainment, a carnival, fireworks, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
