Phase 2 Sewer Maintenance on Victory Street: Fog Testing Scheduled on Monday, July 6, 2026

The Town of LaSalle’s Public Works Department will begin Phase 2 of its sanitary sewer maintenance project along Victory Street, from Hinde Street to 880 Victory Street, with fog testing scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. The work is expected to be completed in one day.
This phase includes fog testing, which helps find cracks, leaks, or improper connections in the sewer system. The Town has hired Hurricane SMS Inc. to complete this work.
During testing, a safe, non-toxic fog will be pumped into the sewer through manholes. The fog may come out of vents, yards, or roof stacks and can look like smoke, but it is harmless and clears quickly. Emergency services have been notified.
Residents can expect crews working in the area throughout the day. There will be no road closures or detours. Temporary yield-to-oncoming-traffic signs may be set up in some locations, and street parking may be affected for short periods when crews need access to manholes.
This work will help reduce sewer backups and improve system performance. For ongoing Public Works projects visit the Public Works Projects web page.
