Town of LaSalle: Public Notice of Pesticide Use on Thursday, October 22, 2026

The Town of LaSalle intends to control phragmites (phragmites australis) in select locations within the Municipality including roadside ditches, municipal drains and stormwater retention systems. The application of pesticides will be completed in accordance with the Public Works exception to the Cosmetic Pesticides Ban for the promotion of public health and safety per section 7.1(2) of the Pesticides Act.

The Municipality will be using the following pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada):

• Habitat Aqua Herbicide (Reg# 32374), containing the active ingredient Imazapyr, present as the isopropylamine salt.
• VisionMax Silviculture Herbicide (Reg#27736), containing the active ingredient Glyphosate, present as potassium salt.
• MSO Spray Adjuvant (Reg#33193), containing the active ingredients surfactant blend 100%
• Aquasurf Non-ionic Spray Adjuvant (Reg#32152), containing the active ingredients surfactant blend 100%

Spraying will commence on Thursday, October 22, 2026, weather permitting. Application will be performed by Green Stream Lawn and Vegetation Management Inc. on behalf of the Town.
