Drop Off, Recycle, Make a Difference: LaSalle E-Waste Collection Drive
The Town of LaSalle is encouraging residents to recycle unwanted electronics and help reduce waste by participating in an upcoming E-Waste Collection Drive, hosted by Quantum Lifecycle Partners, in coordination with the Lions Club.
Electronic waste, or e-waste, is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world. In 2024, an estimated 65 million tonnes of e-waste were generated globally. By recycling old electronics, residents can help divert valuable and recyclable materials from landfills while supporting a more sustainable future.
Residents can drop off unwanted electronics free of charge at the LaSalle Civic Centre, 5950 Malden Road, on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 4, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Friday, November 6, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Saturday, November 7, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Accepted items include computing equipment, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, displays, audio/visual equipment, networking equipment, and cables.
Residents are reminded to erase any personal data from devices before bringing them to the collection drive.
