Parks Power Hour: Free Summer Fun for Kids

Parks Power Hour is a fun-filled summer program that gets kids outdoors, active, and engaged. Sponsored by Essex Powerlines, and free for kids ages 6 to 12, programming includes one-hour sessions filled with games, sports, crafts, and other activities.
Beginning on Tuesday, June 30, sessions take place throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the Vollmer Pavilion (next to the playground and splash pad). All sessions are weather permitting.
Registration Details
- Register ahead of time, space is limited.
- Registration opens one week before each session (on Sunday)
- Each workshop has space for up to 24 participants
- Reserved spots will be held for the first 10 minutes of the program
- After 10 minutes, any open spot will be offered to walk-in participants
If you are unable to attend a registered session, please let the Vollmer Centre know as soon as possible. This helps give the spot to someone on the waitlist.
Participant Guidelines
- All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for check-in and check-out at the Vollmer Pavilion
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle
- Please ensure sunscreen and bug spray are applied prior to arrival
