Vollmer Annual Pool Maintenance Closure, LaSalle Outdoor Pool Remains Open

The H2Oasis Aquatic Centre at the Vollmer Centre will be closed from Monday, September 7 to Friday, October 2, 2026 for its annual maintenance shutdown. The closure includes the indoor pool, sauna, and spa.

This annual maintenance allows staff to complete important maintenance work to keep the facility operating safely and efficiently, including equipment servicing and replacing equipment, pool liner cleaning and inspecting, and tile repairs. The facility will reopen to the public on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding as this essential maintenance work is completed to help ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable aquatic experience for all users.

To help keep aquatic programming available during the closure, the LaSalle Outdoor Pool, located at Front Road and Laurier Drive, will remain open through Friday, October 2, weather permitting. Please note that the outdoor pool will be closed on Monday, September 7, for the Labour Day holiday.

Free Recreational swims

Residents can continue to enjoy free recreational swims at the outdoor pool on Saturdays throughout September from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on September 5, 12, 19, and 26. Free recreational swims are provided by Essex Powerlines and Pathway to Potential. Registration is strongly recommended but not required.

Adult Programs

Drop-in length swims and aqua fitness classes will be offered Monday through Friday in both the deep and shallow ends of the outdoor pool until the end of September.
