Due to the nationwide strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Eligible voters in LaSalle can pick up their Voter Information Letter (VIL) to cast their vote in the 2025 Municipal By-Election.The VILs will be available beginning on Wednesday, October 8 at 9:30 am at the LaSalle Civic Centre to vote by internet for the position of one councillor seat. This letter includes the PIN number that will be used to log into the voting system. It is needed in order to cast a vote.

Fall has arrived, which means the LaSalle Boat Ramp, at the LaSalle Landing, will be closing for the season on Tuesday, October 15, 2023. Please be aware that after this date, there will be no on-site attendants available at the ramp.

In June 2021, the province released the Blue Box Regulation shifting the financial and operational responsibility of recycling from municipalities to the organizations that produce packaging, paper and packaging-like products. Ontario residents will be able to recycle more materials than ever before and recycle the same materials no matter where they live in Ontario.

The Town of LaSalle is doing a study to look at ways to manage Short-Term Rentals (STRs) in our community. This could lead to changes in the Town’s Official Plan, Zoning By-law, and additional municipal by-laws. The Town of LaSalle will host the Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.

This affects the arrival of important Town documents such as property tax bills, water/wastewater bills, invoices, and public notices.
