Pick Up Voter Information Letter in Order to Vote in the 2025 LaSalle By-Election
Due to the nationwide strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Eligible voters in LaSalle can pick up their Voter Information Letter (VIL) to cast their vote in the 2025 Municipal By-Election.
The VILs will be available Wednesday, October 8 at 9:30 am until October 20 at 8:00 pm (By-Election Voting Day) at the LaSalle Civic Centre. This letter includes the PIN number that will be used to log into the voting system. Votes can be cast using any computer or wireless device, 24 hours a day from virtually anywhere for the position of one councillor seat. Vote anytime beginning Friday, October 10, from 10:00 am until Monday, October 20 at 8:00 pm.

Individuals interested in running for office are encouraged to submit their nomination forms in person at the LaSalle Civic Centre, located at 5950 Malden Road. The nomination period is currently open and will close on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Town of LaSalle that a By-Election to elect one (1) at-large Councillor, has been called. Voting Day for this By-Election is Monday, October 20, 2025. The newly-elected Councillor will be sworn in on October 28, 2025, and will hold office until the end of the term, on November 14, 2026.
At the Regular Meeting of Council, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Council is expected to adopt a by-law to hold a By-Election for 1 Councillor Seat.
