Have Your Say on the Future of Transit in LaSalle

The Town of LaSalle is inviting residents to help shape the future of local transit as work continues on the Transit Master Plan. The plan aims to guide how LaSalle Transit will grow and improve over the next five years to meet community needs. Public input will help refine proposed route changes, service models, and future service levels and costs.
More than 150 residents and community partners shared feedback during the first round of public engagement in February and March 2026. Combined with technical analysis, this input helped shape a set of proposed service concepts that are now being shared with the community for further feedback.
The Town is now launching Round 2 of public engagement, focused on refining the recommendations. The draft concepts will help shape the Town’s fixed route (LaSalle 25), as well as other service concepts.
The community is invited to review and provide feedback on:
- proposed changes to Route 25,
- preferences for on-demand transit service, and
- future service levels and related costs.
“We are in the development stage. Materials including maps and routes are draft concepts developed to ask for feedback and advance discussion. There are no final plans, approved changes, or implementations taking place at this stage,” said Peter Marra, Deputy CAO. “The community’s feedback is an important part of this process.”
Public input from this round will help refine the proposed network and service concepts that will shape the final Transit Master Plan presented to Council. Take the time to review the information and answer a survey to share your feedback.
Representatives from Left Turn Right Turn and Town administration will be hosting a public open house in the lobby at the Vollmer Centre on Monday, June 15 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All are welcome. For those unable to attend the open house, information about the proposed concepts is on the project page on PlaceSpeak. Both the survey and PlaceSpeak are open until Tuesday, June 30, 2026. For more information, visit Transit Master Plan.
