June is Seniors Month

The Town of LaSalle is encouraging residents aged 55+ to take part in the LaSalle Senior Active Living program (LSAL) this June.
June marks Seniors Month in Ontario. For 60 years, the Government of Ontario has worked with local organizations, funding Senior Active Living Centre (SALC) programs across the province.
LaSalle’s Senior Active Living program is one of 400 programs supported through the Ontario Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility grant funding program. The Ministry focuses on making a more accessible and age-diverse Ontario community, where everyone can participate.
Launched in April 2025, the program has proven to be successful in promoting healthy living and connection amongst the Town’s 55+ community.
There are a variety of sessions to choose from, including Weekly Learning sessions, Pole Walking, Cups and Companions, and more!
Pre-registration is required and opens two weeks in advance of each activity.
LaSalle Transit Offer
Seniors aged 60+ can ride LaSalle Transit’s Route 25 for just $1 cash per trip throughout June in recognition of Seniors Month.
LaSalle Senior Expo 2026
June also welcomes the return of the LaSalle Senior Expo following last year’s strong turnout. The free, non-sales, market-style event will take place on Wednesday, June 17, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing, 970 Front Road.
Take the opportunity to visit booths, ask questions, and build lasting relationships with others in the community!
