LaSalle Celebrates Community Through Awards of Excellence

Mayor Crystal Meloche is proud to announce the inaugural Town of LaSalle Awards of Excellence to celebrate individuals, teams, artists, businesses, and community leaders who help shape a vibrant and caring community.

“The Awards of Excellence gives us the opportunity to recognize members of our community who go above and beyond to represent LaSalle. We are including arts and culture, business and innovation, community and sports categories to ensure that various members of our community are celebrated,” said Mayor Crystal Meloche. 

The awards will be presented during a special celebration event on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing. Tickets to attend the celebration event will be available for purchase in March. 

Nominations are now open. Recipients will be chosen based on the quality of the responses on the Nomination Form and the criteria met for that category. Recipients will be chosen by a committee made up of community members. The Nomination Form can be completed online. Hard copies are also available for pick up at the LaSalle Civic Centre or Vollmer Complex. Nominations must be submitted by Monday, February 9. 

In some cases, if there are no nominees who meet the criteria for a category, that award will not be presented this year. Nominees will be notified in advance of the LaSalle Awards of Excellence celebration event, and recipients will be announced at the event.
