The Town of LaSalle is continuing the process with Stantec Consulting Ltd. to prepare a LaSalle Detroit River Storm Sewer Outfalls Master Plan (SWMP). The purpose is to protect public and private property from the effects of stormwater flooding while also protecting the natural environment.

The project is divided into three Stages, with each stage covering a different stormwater catchment area within the Town.

Stage 1 – Front Road Storm Sewer Reconstruction project (Front Road from Reaume Road to Boismer Avenue). Construction to begin late July.

Stage 2 – Master Plan complete as of July 2025 (Connections via the Marentette Drain).

Stage 3 - A drop-in Stage 3 Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held in-person on:

Wednesday, July 30, 2025

4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

LaSalle Civic Centre, 5950 Malden Road

The Stage 3 PIC will focus on improvements to the catchment area of Front Road between Victory Street and Malden Road. The information available will include an overview of the study, alternative solutions, evaluation criteria, and next steps.

In addition to the in-person PIC, all study materials are available on PlaceSpeak, a community engagement website. Administration encourages public feedback about the study. Comments on Stage 3 PIC materials are being accepted from Wednesday, July 23 to Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
