LaSalle Gives Back: Firefighters' Campaign Boosts Local Charities
The LaSalle Firefighters Associations are thrilled with the success of this year’s new initiative to support the LaSalle community this holiday season. The LaSalle Gives Back campaign raised an impressive $66,049.54.
This annual initiative will benefit local non-profits and youth assistance organizations, ensuring that funds raised are directed to those in LaSalle who depend on these vital services year-round. Yesterday, a cheque in the amount of $60,000 was donated to the St. Andrews Anglican Church – Community Food Bank, and $5,000 was donated to the LaSalle Hangout for Youth. The additional funds were used for purchasing newspapers and covering campaign administrative costs.
“It’s overwhelming to see the community's generosity and support towards these two worthy organizations. We are deeply grateful to those who volunteered their time, and those who made contributions to this new campaign,” said Chris Carr, LaSalle Firefighters Association. “We hope to continue strengthening our community together and look forward to growing the LaSalle Gives Back fundraiser every year.”
The LaSalle Gives Back campaign was created to ensure donations collected in LaSalle remain in the community. From Thursday, November 14 to Saturday, November 16, 2024, LaSalle Firefighters and community volunteers took to the streets in LaSalle to distribute newsletters and accept monetary donations.
Thanks to the compassionate community of LaSalle, the goal to provide continuous support to LaSalle residents who rely on assistance programs, not just during the holidays, but throughout the year has been achieved.
