December 12, 2025

Hello residents of LaSalle,

I want to take a moment to acknowledge that our Town of LaSalle Council has officially completed budget deliberations for the 2026 Municipal Budget. This is never an easy process, and it requires careful thought, collaboration, and difficult decisions. I want to sincerely thank my fellow council members, and our administration, for the time, professionalism, and dedication shown throughout this process. While this year brought its share of challenges, we continue to work together as a team, always focused on delivering the services and amenities our residents value and expect.

I also want to reflect on some recent highlights in our community. The grand opening of the Loop at LaSalle Landing was a tremendous success. Seeing families, friends, and neighbours come out and enjoy skating at LaSalle’s outdoor skate trail was incredibly rewarding. It’s already becoming a place that brings energy and joy to our community.

The Loop at LaSalle Landing

The Loop is now open daily for the winter season, operating hours are from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. As this is an outdoor ice trail, conditions will vary, and there may be temporary closures due to weather and/or maintenance. Visitors are encouraged to check the latest trail status.

LaSalle Holiday Lights Heritage Nights

Holiday Lights Heritage Nights will include two locations to experience the magic of LaSalle throughout the holiday season:

  1. Holiday lights at the LaSalle Civic Centre, including a 40-foot-tall walk-through tree and dazzling lights. The lights are on daily from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It’s a simple, but meaningful way to enjoy the season and experience the festive spirit right here in our community.
  2. There are only two more weekends full of fun activities part of weekend programming at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing, 970 Front Road. Visit Fridays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, until December 21. There are family activities, visits with Santa, skating at The Loop, and holiday markets with 50 unique vendors on Saturdays and Sundays.

Vollmer Holiday Aquatic and Skate Schedule

I want to remind residents that there are plenty of opportunities to stay active over the holidays.  The Vollmer Centre has swim and skate sessions available beginning December 21. Residents are encouraged to register through our website to reserve their spot.

Municipal Offices Holiday Hours

Just a reminder that Town Hall will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, to Thursday, January 1. Regular hours resume on Friday, January 2. The Vollmer will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 at 12:00 pm to Friday, December 26. The Vollmer will be closed early on New Year’s Eve, at 3:00 pm, and closed January 1, 2026.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a Spectacular Fireworks Show!

Please join us for our annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show as we ring in the new year together at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex at 2121 Laurier Parkway. Fireworks begin at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 31.
