I am thrilled to announce that the LaSalle Strawberry Festival has once again earned a spot among the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario in 2025. The award was presented at the 2026 Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) Awards Gala on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Kitchener, Ontario. I want to thank our incredible staff whose hard work and enthusiasm make the LaSalle Strawberry Festival a cherished tradition for our community. Transit Master Plan

Interested in what the future holds for LaSalle Transit? Visit the Town of LaSalle Transit Master Plan Open House on Tuesday, March 3, at Vollmer Centre, 2121 Laurier Parkway. This is a drop-in event, stop by any time between 10:00 am to 11:30 am, or 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm to learn more, ask questions, and share your thoughts. Community input is critical as we plan for the future of transit in LaSalle. If you are unable to attend, there will be an online survey available, as well as the opportunity to leave comments through PlaceSpeak until Friday, March 27. Visit Transit Master Plan.

Front Road Storm Sewer Reconstruction

The major Front Road Storm Sewer reconstruction project is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 9. The reconstruction area includes the section of Front Road from Boismier Avenue to Reaume Road. This work will include lane restrictions along Front Road. Intersection closures will occur at Maple Ave, Kenwood Ave, Delaware Ave, Sacred Heart Dr, and Boismier Ave. Major traffic delays are expected.

Consider alternate routes prior to leaving for your destination, as well as anticipating extra travel time. Businesses in these areas will remain open, and I encourage residents to continue supporting them throughout the project period. Detour signs will be posted to help guide traffic. LaSalle Boat Ramp Passes

Early Bird Annual Boat Ramp Passes will be available for purchase from Sunday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 31 at a discounted rate. Regular rates will apply beginning April 1. An attendant will be on-site daily, beginning Friday, April 10, 2026. Visit the LaSalle Boat Ramp for rates and more information.

Vollmer Spring Registration Dates

Just a friendly reminder for LaSalle residents: Vollmer Spring Registration is coming up soon. Mark your calendars: priority registration for residents is Tuesday, March 10. Non-residents registration date is Thursday, March 12. Let’s get active, visit LaSalle Active.
