Message from Mayor Meloche - June 12, 2026

June 12, 2026
Hello residents of LaSalle,
The return of outdoor events is a great way to get involved in the community, but don’t forget to take a break from the heat this month. Stop by air-conditioned LaSalle spaces like the Vollmer Centre and LaSalle Civic Centre or enjoy some splash pad fun for relief. I encourage everyone to stay active and safe as we transition into summer.
LaSalle Strawberry Festival
The 2026 LaSalle Strawberry Festival is finally here, running now through Sunday, June 14. This beloved community tradition is filled with delicious treats, live entertainment, family fun, and unforgettable moments for all ages. Everyone is encouraged to come out, celebrate, and make lasting memories! For tickets, hours, entertainment schedules, fireworks, and the full event lineup, visit LaSalle Strawberry Festival.
Public Open House
I want to remind residents about the upcoming Town of LaSalle Open House event. Topics include potential expansion options for the Vollmer Centre and Round 2 of the Transit Master Plan. Administration will be available at the Vollmer Centre on Monday, June 15, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm to answer questions, share information, and gather feedback from the community. We encourage everyone to participate and share their thoughts. Residents can complete an online survey through PlaceSpeak, a community engagement website, and the Town website. For more information, visit LaSalle Vollmer Expansion.
LaSalle Senior Expo 2026
The LaSalle Senior Expo 2026 will take place on Wednesday, June 17, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the LaSalle Event Centre at LaSalle Landing. The free event is returning for a second year following a successful launch in 2025. More than 80 booths will be on-site this year, offering residents information about local programs, services, resources, health and wellness opportunities, and much more.
