The Town of LaSalle is pleased to announce that Mike Seguin was officially sworn in as a member of LaSalle Council during the Regular Meeting of Council held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Seguin was elected in the 2025 LaSalle Municipal By-Election on October 20, following the passing of long-serving Councillor Sue Desjarlais. Seguin’s term as councillor will run until November 14, 2026. The next municipal election in LaSalle is set for October 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the LaSalle Civic Centre, where Seguin took the Declaration of Office as the newly elected Member of Council. Mayor Crystal Meloche and fellow Council members welcomed Seguin, acknowledging the importance of his role in continuing the legacy of public service left by Councillor Desjarlais.

“On behalf of Council, we extend a warm welcome to Mike and welcome him to the team. His commitment to public service is appreciated, and we look forward to working together to serve the residents of LaSalle,” said Mayor Crystal Meloche.
