Playground Upgrades Coming This Summer
Exciting improvements are coming to Stanton Park and Sandwich Park this summer, with brand new playgrounds.
Stanton Park – 1541 Stanton Avenue
New playground equipment will be installed in the same location as the current equipment. To allow for removal and installation, the playground will be closed for approximately 5 weeks.
Sandwich Park – 2401 Sandwich West Parkway
The new playground equipment at Sandwich Park is being set up in a different location within the park. Residents can continue to use the existing playground during installation. Once the new playground is ready, the current equipment will be removed.
The new playgrounds will be AODA compliant and will include accessible features. The designs were reviewed and approved by the Accessibility Advisory Committee on April 22, 2026.
Preparation work will begin later this week. The timing of the Stanton Park playground closure will be dependent on schedules and materials but is expected to begin around the middle of August. We appreciate your cooperation during any closures and ask that everyone keep away from the equipment until it is officially open for play.
