The Town of LaSalle is inviting residents, property owners, and community partners to review and provide feedback on the Town of LaSalle Short-Term Rental Study, Recommendations Report by Monday, February 23, 2026.

In October 2025, The Town, with help from WSP Canada, began a study to look at ways to manage Short-Term Rentals (STRs) in our community. The report summarizes what was heard from the community, Council, Town administration, and partners, and outlines different options for STRs. It also recommends a regulatory framework.

An STR is when someone rents out all or part of their home to guests for a short time — not as a permanent place to live. STRs can include places listed on websites like Airbnb or Vrbo, small inns, or bed and breakfasts. The results provided in the Recommendations Report could lead to changes in the Town’s Official Plan, Zoning By-law, and additional municipal by-laws.
