Skates Off, Spring On: The Loop at LaSalle Landing Transitions to Warm‑Weather Fun

With spring in the air and warmer temperatures arriving, The Loop Skate Trail at LaSalle Landing is now closed for skating. It’s been a fun winter season, but as the ice continues to melt, residents are reminded to stay off the ice to help keep everyone safe.
We appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and support for this new outdoor experience and look forward to welcoming you back next winter for more skating fun along the beautiful waterfront.
Over the next couple of weeks, Town staff will be busy giving The Loop its seasonal refresh. Work includes removing skating mats, washing the concrete surface, and completing maintenance to the warming hut—all part of preparing the space for spring and summer activities.
Once the transition is complete, The Loop will reopen as a multi‑use recreational trail, perfect for warmer‑weather fun. Residents and visitors can enjoy walking, jogging, inline and roller skating along this scenic, accessible trail throughout the upcoming seasons.
Even more outdoor fun is just around the corner. The Rotary Circle at LaSalle Landing is expected to open in May, opening at the same time as the Vollmer splash pad—just in time for families to kick off summer. The Rotary Circle includes water spray jets, benches, and shade sails, letting you choose between a sunny location for water fun or a cool spot to escape the sun.
