Temporary Railway Crossing Closures in LaSalle: Maple Ave and Victory St

The Town of LaSalle is working in partnership with Essex Terminal Railway (ETR) on two upcoming infrastructure projects that will temporarily impact traffic at local railway crossings. Both projects are one-day closures.  

Maple Avenue Railway Crossing: 
Tuesday, September 2, at approximately 9:30 am, the Maple Avenue railway crossing will temporarily close to through traffic. A detour will be in place, directing road users to Gilbert Avenue and Marquette Street. The closure will be limited to the railway crossing area, and local traffic will continue to have access. 

Victory Street Railway Crossing: 
Thursday, September 4, starting at approximately 9:30 am, the Victory Street railway crossing will temporarily close to through traffic. Detour signage will guide road users to Matchett Road and Hinde Street. Only the immediate railway crossing area will be affected, and local traffic will have access. 

Please avoid these areas during the temporary closures, if possible. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we work with ETR to improve infrastructure and ensure safe railway operations.
