The Green Bins are Coming!

Starting the week of October 21, 2025, the Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) will provide a weekly, curbside collection program, the Green Bin Program, to help residents keep food waste and other organics out of our local, Essex-Windsor Regional Landfill. 

To make sure residents are ready, Green Bin Kit deliveries have been taking place to single-family homes in Essex, Lakeshore, Tecumseh, and Windsor since July. Green Bin Kits will be delivered to single-family homes in the Town of LaSalle beginning on Tuesday, September 2. To find out when your collection program begins, check the LaSalle Collection Calendar or download the Recycle Coach app and request Green Bin Program notifications.
