Town of LaSalle kickstarts update to Strategic Plan to meet needs of its growing community

town hall

The Town of LaSalle is starting a process to review and update LaSalle 2050 – its current Strategic Plan, which serves as a roadmap for the municipality into the year 2050. Given the continued and expected growth of LaSalle, Council has decided to update the Plan to reflect the current needs of the community. An updated Strategic Plan is necessary to better position businesses, residents, and visitors for success into the future.

In 2019, LaSalle Council engaged StrategyCorp, a Toronto-based public affairs firm, to lead the process to develop a new Strategic Plan. The Town looks forward to continuing its work with them on the refresh, which is anticipated to be presented to Council in March 2025.

Involving the Community

Between now and March, there will be opportunities for Council, Town staff, local businesses, and community members to provide input on the refreshed Strategic Plan. This will support the Town in developing a collective vision and set of strategic priorities.

“As the Town of LaSalle continues to grow, we want to ensure our strategic priorities meet the needs of those who live and work in the community,” said Mayor Crystal Meloche. “We are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way and look forward to gathering community feedback to build the future of LaSalle together.”

More information will be shared in the coming months on local events and opportunities for the community to share their thoughts and provide input into the process.
