Traffic Concerns in LaSalle

We understand the frustration with the heavy traffic in and out of LaSalle during rush hours. We know that this is in part due to the construction on Ojibway Parkway between Morton Drive and Sprucewood Avenue, and the construction in Sandwich Town, and drivers using alternate routes to avoid those areas. The construction on Ojibway Parkway between Morton Drive and Sprucewood Avenue is scheduled to be complete in the next couple of weeks (weather permitting). We expect that having that portion of road open should lighten the traffic in other areas of LaSalle.

There are questions about the timing of the lights on Malden Road. We have reviewed the operations of the signals, and they are functioning as designed, and the delays are due to the increased amount of traffic avoiding other routes.

As a reminder, Laurier Parkway offers a route to connect to Huron Church Line and Howard Avenue. We appreciate your patience during road construction season throughout the region.
